Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. She is best known for her part as Skyler White in The AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She has also appeared as Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and fell in adore with acting while attending the Preparatory School. In the late 1970s, the family moved to Ohio. She did theatre studies at Northwestern University, and spent one term at British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed by the theater in the Chicago area for several years prior to trying her hand at TV and films. Anna received her breakthrough in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden for the duration of 29 episodes on Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's and was later given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons of Deadwood that was shot in the mid 2000's. Skyler is her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully in addition to Deadwood was another movie she was a part of. Gunn appeared on stage for David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as Numbered Days, a four-part audio series that was released in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate ending mirrors the last seasons that were the life of Walter White.
